When I was 9 years old my favorite stuffed animal was a soft and fluffy Samoyed, which ended up not so soft after a while because I bathed and brushed and blow dried it, ha ha. I have always loved grooming :D Synthetic toy fur did not respond so well to my attention as this gorgeous boy above.
I also got some natural ear cleaner which has all great ingredients. Tea tree oil for healing, hamamelis for pain and itching relief as well as astringent for drying and soothing, and another skin soothing agent and an antiseptic. I don't like disturbing the inside of the ear canal unless needed, but sometimes hair removal is necessary and this cleaner is good to use at least once a month for optimal health and prevention of any unhealthy build up. | Last week I received my newest products and tools, I was so excited!! I ordered some Wahl D'mat spray, which I've been excited to try. It is specially formulated with natural hair, polishers and lubricants so that mats and undercoat can be removed without ripping the hair out of the dog. Not that I ever rip when dematting, this means it helps the hair brush apart easier resulting in less thinning in that area. Made with natural ingredients and vitamins for healthy fur. I tried it on Shamrock to help brush through his thick coat, and it really helped! |
These shears and scissors are a dream come true for me. Seriously. There is something mesmerizing about a good pair of scissors. We all start off loving scissors right? I mean, 'Puppy' can't get enough of them, and I know I was the same when I was little. I cut all my lovely baby curls off myself when I was three, and my sister's too. My career was started early, lol. I could have done hairdressing, but dogs are where it's at. | One larger stiffer bristled one for double coated and wiry breeds, and one soft bristled one for the silkier coated dogs like Maltese and Shih Tzus. I love grooming even the dogs that take a lot of work like Samoyed's, I like the hard work! Today I couldn't wait for Shamrock to get here so I could test my new brushes to see how efficient they were at getting through all that coat :D Again, very pleased with my purchases. I have always used curved back slickers, but am discovering I do actually prefer the flat backed ones. This black one is curved, but it brushes beautifully so I'm not complaining. |
