I've been trying some new ear styles on a few dogs. I think this high ear set looks a bit like angel wings :D I have been fiddling with Buddy's style trying to get the right balance of head to body, still keeping it short and optimal cuteness. Here is Buddy before. I had done the higher ear set last time on him too. I had just left it slightly longer between the ears. I used a 3/4" comb on his head, and 1/2" on his body. The time before that, I had done a modified bichon style head leaving it longer behind the ears and making the whole head round. His head ends up looking too small for his body if his ears and face are short, so I'd thought the round head might compensate. Grandma said she didn't like that style though, so I've started with accentuating the ears to give volume and balance. You can see from this rear view how the ears resemble little angel wings :) I'm not sure if I prefer having the hair on top his head between his ears shorter to accentuate the ears, like I did this time, or leaving it 3/4" like I did last time. I think it might be cuter last time. I don't know. I think this is when I was telling a fabulously funny joke and Buddy was having a good laugh. Happy Tails Buddy, see you next time!
